Preparing

I'm preparing for the KNK cyber crop tomorrow. I try to put everything where it belongs and cleaning up a bit. I finally got my kit(s) from KNK yesterday *yehoo*. The January kit was lost in space and sweet GA at KNK replaced it for me. Thanks!!! The team at KNK is really a nice bunch and they have a tremendous customer service!
Anyway, that means that I have some new stuff to play with tomorrow. I'll post the result here on sunday I hope.

Phu what a weekend!

I don't think I have scrapped this much ever in a weekend. I have actually finished 6 different challanges for the Scrappiz Cyper Crop (se below). Now I'm starting to feel a bit dizzy of all the spring colours. They are cheering up the day though, it is raining/snowing here and no fun weather at all.
Enough rambling, are you curious about the result?

First a simple LO. The challange was to not use any patterned paper at all. I have sprayed Glimmer Mist (it is messy and hard to get as you want!) on a template and then just added letter thickers and the lace. I think the airy lace is giving a feeling of spring (as the title says) and open windows.

I also did a simple card, where the motif was supposed to be the centerpiece. I stamped the Iris flowers and coloured them with my Derwent pencils. I also stamped the sentence and embossed it in gold. I have chalked the edges to get some more depth in the picture.

My next try, which I did late last nigh, was a challange ther you should add some piece of jewelery. You should also add a pin. I had a pin I had saved from a wedding which I used. I just added a small jewelery in form of a butterfly to it.

This is the LO which I'm most pleased with. This old vintage/shabby chick style inspires me and makes me happy =). Here is the whole LO

I added more of the butterfly jewelery and also a metal butterfly. The hydragena flowers are Prima and the others are unknown. I added rhinestones and pearls as centers.
The white distressed paper is K and Company. Here are some more close-ups

At last I have another card to share. At this point I started to get a bit 'tired' of creating, so this was made rather fast. I have stamped the bird and coloured it with Derwent pencils. I have used soem scrap pieces of carstock for the cardbase and paper. As background have I also added some yellow thingy which you can buy from florists. The flower is one of the unknown kind but blinged with some embossing powder which has been glued onto the flower (not embossed), I also added a red brad to the center.

Now I need to rest =) Maybe I will do another challange later today but I doubt it. At least Have I had real fun doing this and I have used a lot of my stash. Maybe it is time to buy some new?? =) See ya!

More for the crop

Here is another card I have done for the crop challanges at Scrappiz. This card should have a stamp with a flower and the card should be decorated with flowers. I've spent a lot of time on this card, but it has been worth every hour. I love how the colours turned out together.

I have coloured the stamp, which is from Rachelle Ann Miller, with my Derwent colour pencils. It gets a nice result but it takes some time :) so you can't be in a hurry. The stamp is cut and layered as a flower.
The flowers are from a candlecuff and I also found an old ribbon that fitted perfectly in colour. The paper is Basic Grey Blush series.

Here are some close-ups. Just click on them to view larger.

When I get the time I will post the technique I use when colouring stamps. I have some nice pictures from today.

I also have pictures of my little helper (or NOT!) . She is really annoying sometimes, but also soo sweet and innocent.

Well, that was all for this time, I think I'm going to try another challange before its time to make some dinner. I'll be back with the result.

Cybercrop at Scrappiz

It is a cybercrop at Scrappiz this weekend. There are lots of fun challanges and it started already the 18th so hurry! I haven't had time to sit down and scrap until now, so I'll try to make some of the challanges at least, home alone and everything.
I actually have a LO here that I did since I come home from work today. It is for the journaling challange and is a sweet stoy about my little sister. It happened many years back, but I still remember the fun. It is a story about a game where you are supposed to explain words. I don't know the word in english so I can't translate it, but here is the story in swedish.

And here are some photos of the LO.

The paper is from Creative Imaginations and I have added some Sakura glitter pen and stickles to it in yellow colours. The flower is SEI and the layered chipboard is We are Memorykeepers. Everything except the ribbon (from a magazine) are from KnK kits.

I'll be back with more tomorrow.

KnK March kit

The March Kit from KnK is now presented. It looks gourgous! I can feel that spring is close by... well, until I look out and see the falling snow. It is about -4 degrees Celsius here so the snow seems to be staying for a while.
Maybe I can get some nice winter photos in the weekend and I need to sow all my seeds for the garden... I'll be home all alone with just the dogs and cats as company so hopefully there will be time for some scrapping too. And the weekend after this, the 28th, KnK will have an online crop. That will be real fun!
That reminds me that I need to go through and print some more photos...

Well, I might stop by tonight and post a winter LO I did some months ago. See ya

Ziva - the naugty kitten

I had a lovely time with my boyfriend yesterday. We cooked a nice dinner and ate it together in candle light. Very romantic! I have some pictures of the laid table and the dinner, I hope to get scrapped soon.

Today I want to share a layout I did this morning. It is picturing our kitten Ziva. She is a Bengal and she is about 5 months in the pictures. She is a lovely kitten, a lot of play but also sweet cuddly times =)

The paper is once again a My Minds Eye, this time 'Bohemia' line. The flowers are unkown with centers from Imaginisce. I have also added bling from Kaiserkraft and then some liquid pearls. It is the first time I use the liquied pearls and I was a bit worried about the 'pointing tip' the applicator left. But when it dries it flattened a bit and looks much better now.

The letters are vinyl letters from American Craft and rub-ons from We R Memory Keepers. Some close-ups.

That was all for today. Now shall I head over to KNK Club and check out if the March kit has been announced. If you haven't already checked out the kits at KNK I highly recommend that you do it. They are wonderfully composed and contains material for several LOs, cards and/or projects. GA is working hard to keep us all pleased and the customer support is great! And they ship to Sweden and the rest of the world!!
Enough rambling, see you soon.

I have created

Hi, I'm back... again. Sorry, but it has been a rather rough time since christmas, but now it seems to be a bit brighter. And best of all, I have some LO's to share with you. They are both picturing my sister daughter. She is such a sweet little girl.

This is from her second birthday. The flowers are prima except for the green ones, those are sprayed with green glimmer mist. The brads and bling stones are from Kaiserkraft and the dotted paper is Imaginisce 'A Shore Thing' and the green cardstock is the reverse of My mind's Eye - Trés Jolie. I really like the Trés Jolie papers since they are so thick and resembles more a cardstock then an ordinary patterned paper. The journal spot is a rub-on from Kaiserkraft as well.
Here is a close-up on the flowers. I've added some stickles to add some more glitter.

The second LO is of my grandmother and Felica. I have worked quite a bit on this and I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out.

The LO is much more three dimensional than the photo shows. The patterned paper is heavily distressed. This is easy done if you wet the paper a bit. Just be careful so you don't get it too soaked, I use a soft baby cloth. When it is wet, just crumble the paper and distress the edges. When it dries it stiffens in the form that you want. I have chalked the eadges with ColorBox Chestnut Roan, the colour working really well with the pink.

The pink papers are My Minds Eye - Trés Jolie and the blue paper is K&Company. The flowers are Prima and the bling is unknown.

That was all for tonight, I hope to be back soon with more now when I feel inspired again.
