Rain and work

Sorry, no writing in a long time. Just a lot of work and not time either for crafting or writing. The fall rain is just pouring down and everything is grey and heavy.
At least to cheer up the moment we are going to Gothenburg this weekend. Hopefully I'll be able to visit at least one scrapbook store...

Birthday card

Just a short post to show the birthday card. I found the inspiration I needed on http://housemouse-challenge.blogspot.com/. There was a sketch I wanted to giv a try.And my try

Patterned paper from DCWV, Denim Blue Posies. The focal point is not a stamp, but a clip art printed on the computer.

Last night

Late yesterday evening did I have time for some scrapping again. It feel so good when you have worked all day to just relax a bit and let the creativity flow.

I created with the papers from the KnK kit I received earlier this week. I'm pretty pleased with the outcome. What do you think?

The papers are from Bo Bunny

Some of the details

The leaf is from the garden and the words are from a K&C sheet with glitter stickers. Flowers are Petaloo. Journaling spot is Bo Bunny.

Today I'm supposed to spend my crafting time to do a birthday card. I just don't feel the creativity at the moment, so I have to go looking for some inspirational blogs... Do you have any suggestions just let me know! I'll collect those that inspires me most in my Bloglist.

See you later!

Another christmas card

I found this inspiring sketch today when I was visiting some blogs.

The sketch was found on http://daringcardmakers.blogspot.com/, an interesting blog I will visit again.

I had a go with the sketch and it inspired me so much so I think I got a bit out of scope =) Here is my try:

Not following the sketch that well... but this is my first ever challange.

I used a red cardstock from Bazzill as cardbase and the green paper in the background is from a package with Rub-ons from imaginisce. The stamp is from Rachelle Ann Miller. I have used stickles on the threes and background.

The scallop in the card and the trees are cut from my pink treasure - The Gazelle!

See you soon again!

Christmas Card

Yes, it's time to start with the christmas cards. I don't have an aweful lot to do so I'll make one now and then =)

I found the layout for this wonderful card at Christmas Cards All Year 'Round blog at http://christmascardsallyearround.blogspot.com/. It is a simple card to make and a lot of fun. Inside you can put a small gift, in this case the snowman poop (marshmallows or any other candy).

I have used light blue cardstock from Bazzill and the pattern paper is from Bo Bunny Believe collection. I have stamped the inside with a christmas greeting.

Jipee

Today the monthly kit from Kit 'n Kaboodles (KnK) arrived in the mailbox. A wonderful kit with autumn in mind. Just look at the picture:

The papers are from Bo Bunny, Beautiful Life Collection. I'm really found of the papers from Bo Bunny. Have you had a look at the papers from the 'Beau Jardin' collection? Or the dotted cardsstock? Just gorgeous!
I can't wait to use the kit, I have at least one photo that springs to mind immediately.

What I like so much about Kit 'n Kaboodles, apart from the kits, is the ability to do some serious shopping and have the items shipped together with the kit. In this way you save on the package and handling fees and you get the latest new decorations and papers and stuff from the states.
Gerri-ann is doing a great job finding new interesting items each month and her design team is inspiring us all.

I recommend you all to have a look at their website http://www.knkclub.com/.

Shared memories

This is my first post to the blog.

This blog will be about me and about memories. It can be something very simple, like what has happened during the day, or some older memories from childhood.

I like to capture and share my memories as scrapbook pages. Scrapbooking is a mental cure for me, taking me flying with memories and make me, for a while, forget the hectic everyday work. I can be creative and play with colors and forms, something that doesn't happen very often in my professional work as a telecom project leader. I also use this creativity to create cards and stamping.

This blog will also be about gardening. Another hobby of mine where I can let my creativity flow. I'm much better on dreaming away, painting pictures of a wonderful garden in my head, then actually doing the garden. But one day I will get the time I need and create that dream garden. Until then I will tease you here with memories from the real garden and from my dream garden.

This blog will probably touch on the everyday life that is mine and that I actually like pretty much. As a background you can find more information in 'about me' to the right.

As things are now, I can't promise to write every day, maybe not even very often, but I'll share when I have something to share, so please come back and have a look now and then.
